Rain

This weather is just weird — I can’t believe how warm it was today. I was out running in shorts and a t-shirt and wasn’t chilly at all (I did have my gloves on though because my hands are always freezing.) We canceled Intervals Wednesday after seeing the forecast and realizing that running around the Reservoir wouldn’t be much fun in the mud. I planned to wake up semi-early and run solo but it didn’t happen. I slept until 8:45 then went running over lunch-time instead. I’d love to say it was a good run, but it really wasn’t. I’ve just been so sore all week and not really feeling 100%. So, today I decided to start doubling up on the protein shakes (disgusting, but effective) and drank a bunch of pomegranate juice. (Plus the standard V8 juice and glass of red wine.) My stomach has been so finicky lately I haven’t really been able to eat anything other than pasta and bread so I decided to step up the vitamin content of my beverages. Hopefully, I’ll be feeling better tomorrow morning. We have a 10 miler along the Hudson in the rain scheduled for 5:20. For now, I’m going to go read up about all the exciting Yankees news that happened today. Moose, we’ll miss you. And, welcome to New York, C.C. Sabathia.

  • Oy, I about fell asleep while my husband was watching ESPN. That was the ONLY thing they had to talk about?!? I’m a Yankees fan by default so YAY for them but still . . . LMAO!

Awwwhhh come on now, running in the mud would’ve been a blast ;-)

  • I’m with you. Still waiting for this rain to stop so I can get in a recovery run. Totally feel like a slacker since I haven’t run in 4 days since my weekend marathon. Please, when is the rain going to stop?

Congrats on CC! I’m a Mets fan by nature (grew up in Queens) but feel Yanks need some saving after last season so CC will help. Now, we just need to ink up KRod!
